Return to Native Soil

Sources: tfs, fashiongonerogue, fashionsquad

Back in Canada! How does it feel? Fabulous! I'll miss my quirky roommate, the indian cuisine, and the energetic vibe that resonates throughout London. But overall I'm just happy to be back with the people I love.

Unfortunately my return to Canada is a little bitter-sweet, as my dream job at Victoire Boutique has been given away in my absence. They really needed someone and couldn't afford to wait. They still offered me a position when their next opening arose - but this may not be until October/November. At which time I'm very busy with school. In any case, we'll see - you have to live life day by day!

On the bright side more time for blogging! I'm headed up to my cottage tonight (after picking up my new car as my boyfriend crashed my old one while I was away). I will bring up some outfits with me and have some new personal style posts up (finally!) for you guys in the next few days. I'm excited to re-embrace the blogging community with open arms!

I hope you guys like my current inspiration photos. I love the new Marc Jacobs campaign - kind of represents how I feel at the moment in a bizarre way. I'm also inspired by the other photos of some of my favourite models, and just some fabulous street style in the instance of Daisy Lowe (white dress), and the girl outfitted in vintage from Berlin. Let me know if you guys find these photos equally inspiring!

Lots of love,
K.xx

Miu Miu Perfection

Miu Miu's new fall campaign was released this week starring Lindsey Wixson, Siri Tollerod, Ginta Lapina and Daphne Groenveld. The campaign is beautifully shot, as are all the clothing. Though some of the pieces strike me as a little bit summery for autumn. Nonetheless a beautiful shoot - again running with the doll-like muse in terms of model. But does the new campaign compare with the spring/summer one featured below? I think that the much hyped spring/summer campaign will be hard for the company to top.

Perfection:

Hello all,
Just wanted to write a quick personal message as well to let all of you know that I will be home from the UK in 2 weeks. Once I'm back home I'll have more time for blogging, and more energy for creativity. Look forward to a lot more activity from Obsessed Fashion in the coming months :)

Lots of love,
K.xx

Summertime

Here's some photos that get me all revved up for summer. Nothing says summer to me like dressing up, getting out, and enjoying that fabulous sunshine! Just be sure to use some sunscreen this season everybody :)

Love everything about this photo... The model is gorgeous and the styling immaculate. I'm so into pastels right now. I love the hue and tailoring of the dress and the belting. All in all amazing, inspiring photo for me :)

Photo Inspiration of the Day

These photos of Freja are so dark, sensual and mysterious. They really appeal to me. Not to mention the details are just exquisite. The photos are were orginally from Vogue Italia, shot by Paolo Reversi.

Barnyard Love

I am obsessed with these photos from the May Issue of Vogue Nippon. I love these photos for a variety of reasons.... first and foremost: the animals. I am a huge animal fan and barn lover, though admittedly of mostly an equine variety. But still, I love the mix of high fashion and high interior design mixed with the grungy farm yard vibe. Kind of in the same way that I love the mix of high and low fashion (cheap and high prices, casual and dressy pieces).
Secondly, I love the styling. The pieces are fantastic and are combined in a really eclectic and interesting way. My favourite of the photos is the one where she is wearing the black cut out dress... I WANT that dress. Or at least a knock-off version thankyouverymuch.
Lastly, I also love this shoot because Edita Vilkeviciute looks fabulous in each photo. She really nails the mood of the shoot. And that lilac lip colour on her? Fabulous.
All in all this shoot is what my dreams are made of. I want to live in this world please and thank you.

With love,
K.xx

Purple Rain

Kudos are reserved once again for the fabulous Canadian supermodel that is Daria. I've loved Daria since she first hit it big a few years ago. She has such an amazing, unique look. She's also incredibly diverse and always has an impressive array of looks on display in every shoot. On the street Daria always looks so glamorous, and chic in an effortless sort of way.

One thing I've noticed about her is she seems drawn to nudey shoots. There was a nude one of her in this editorial as well but as I don't know blogspots tolerability for nudity so I opted to refrain from posting it. Check out fashiongonerogue if interested haha.

I love the makeup and styling though... exquisite. Just a very, very inspring beauty shoot for me overall.
